PARALLEL STAGE PROJECT

The "Parallel Stage" project includes presentation artists of various domains: actors, dancers, musicians, performers, professional and alternative groups, either experienced ones or debutants yet discovering their own language of expression. Aside from a fresh, unconventional and surprising form, the basic criterion is their openness to experiment, willingness to challenge worn out paths, asking questions rather than giving straight answers.

Meeting with artists is the opportunity to learn their way of thinking and methods of work, discussions on directions of creative quest, undertaken tasks, choices and values.

WE - Brama Theatre

The performance emerged as a result of work between director, Daniel Jacewicz, and the young performers of Teatr Brama. It is a sincere story which is the result of many hours of conversation and reflection. The performance speaks about our personal experiences, emotion, and conscious response to the world in which we live. In rehearsal our individual emotional states and manners of perception blended to create a performance about our personal histories. It is interesting because the story is a collage of images of the world seen through the eyes of young people. The histories were drawn from our daily lives and are contrasted and shaped by our emotions.

The performance speaks about sadness, loneliness, the struggle to fit in and rebellion against predetermined roles dictated by society. In spite of this, it is not a sad story, but one that speaks about our personal dreams.

BRAMA THEATRE

The Brama Theatre was founded in 1996 by Daniel Jacewicz. The ensemble are a diverse group dedicated to a common artistic goal - realized by researching the heights and depths of emotion, recalling heritage and reacting to the reality of life sometimes in a controversial way. Founder and Director, Daniel Jacewicz, believes that theatre is like the church of the arts and to create a performance is to create a sacred space which links art with environment, heritage, culture and tradition.  The Theater is also a local culture animator: from 1999 to 2005 Brama was the main organizer of a Festival of Theatrical Meetings in Goleniow called "Bramat". Currently, Theater Brama helps with the organization of Village Festival of Arts in Strzelewo and events initiated by the Theater Kana Association in Szczecin.
